Kauthar is a Law Graduate of Strathmore University (LL.B) with a practice focus on Commercial Law and Conveyancing. She has developed a solid grounding in legal research, contract review, and transaction documentation through internships with the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), where her responsibilities regularly required precise legal drafting, due diligence, and the negotiation of terms between multiple stakeholders.
In her role with GIZ's Better Migration Management programme, Kauthar was responsible for drafting and reviewing project reports, training materials, and stakeholder communications, requiring careful attention to legal and regulatory accuracy. She liaised directly with government bodies, civil society organisations, and implementing partners on matters of project implementation and compliance, and designed monitoring frameworks to track adherence to programme obligations — skills directly transferable to the structuring, documentation, and oversight demanded by commercial transactions and conveyancing matters.
At KNCHR, she conducted legal research on administrative justice matters, drafted proposals in response to formal requests for contribution, and supported the intake and preliminary assessment of legal complaints — building a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to legal analysis and client-facing documentation that underpins her current focus on commercial and conveyancing work.
